Axiom Trade Not Working? How to Fix Failed Transactions and Slippage

Most Axiom problems fall into a handful of repeatable categories, and almost none of them require contacting support. Here's what actually causes each one and the fastest real fix.

The single most common Axiom problem is a failed transaction from slippage set too low for the pool you're trading. Match your slippage to the pool's actual depth, not a default number, and most "Axiom isn't working" problems disappear.

Failed Transactions and Slippage

This is the number one reported issue, and it's almost always slippage, not a platform bug. A thin, freshly-launched pool can move 10-20%+ between when you click buy and when the transaction lands — set your slippage tolerance below that and the trade simply fails rather than executing at a worse price. An established token like SOL, JUP, or BONK needs far less, typically 1-3%.

The tradeoff: higher slippage means fewer failed transactions, but it also means a worse guaranteed fill and more exposure to price movement during confirmation. There's no single right number — match it to what you're actually trading.

Warning

Network congestion and an undersized priority fee compound the slippage problem. On a fast-moving migration or launch, raise your priority fee or Jito logo Jito tip (both default to 0.001 SOL) alongside your slippage tolerance, not instead of it.

The Limit Order Cap

If you get an error placing a new limit order, the most likely cause is Axiom's cap on active limit orders — you can only have so many open simultaneously. Check your open orders and cancel a stale one before placing a new one.

Perps Withdrawal Delays

Axiom's perpetuals run through Hyperliquid logo Hyperliquid, and withdrawals route through Hyperliquid's own bridge, typically landing as USDC in about 5 minutes. That bridge has occasionally locked for extended periods during unusual market conditions — this is Hyperliquid infrastructure, not something Axiom controls directly, so a slow perps withdrawal isn't necessarily an Axiom-side bug even though it shows up inside the Axiom interface.

The August 2025 Sell Outage — What to Learn From It

In late August 2025, Pump.fun logo Pump.fun pushed a breaking change to its API without notifying the trading bots built on top of it — Axiom included. The result: users couldn't sell through Axiom for several hours. Axiom's own Discord acknowledged it directly: "Pump Fun has pushed a breaking change without notifying trading bots," and told users needing to sell that they could only do so directly on Pump.fun's site during the outage.

Real user reports from that window described losses in the single-digit SOL range from being unable to exit positions in time. The lesson generalizes past this one incident: export your seed phrase into Phantom, Rabby, or Solflare before you need it, covered in our getting-started guide. A trading terminal outage doesn't lock your funds if you hold your own keys and can fall back to trading directly on the underlying AMM.

Fee Confusion

Axiom isn't hiding fees, but the layered cost on a fresh launch surprises people who only budgeted for Axiom's own 1%. You're also paying whatever the underlying AMM charges (PumpSwap runs 1.25% down to 0.30% depending on market cap), network gas, and your priority fee or Jito tip. See the full fee breakdown for the real all-in number before you size a small trade and wonder where the balance went.

Wallet Connection Issues

If Phantom logo Phantom or another wallet won't connect, the standard fixes apply before assuming an Axiom-side problem: refresh the page, make sure your wallet extension is unlocked and updated, and check you're on the genuine axiom.trade domain rather than a lookalike. auth-axiom.trade is a confirmed active phishing domain — see our security guide for the full list of sites impersonating Axiom.

Contacting Support

Axiom support operates through Discord tickets only, via its official server. There is no official Telegram bot — any bot claiming to represent Axiom support is fraudulent, and the same is true of any app claiming to be Axiom in an app store. Axiom's own guidance is explicit: legitimate support will never message you first. Treat any unsolicited DM offering to help as a phishing attempt, full stop.

Is Axiom Down Right Now?

When a transaction looks stuck, check the chain before you blame the app. Solscan logo Solscan will tell you whether your transaction actually landed, failed, or never broadcast — which is the difference between an Axiom bug and a Solana congestion event:

Solscan, the Solana block explorer — paste a transaction signature or your wallet address here to see whether a trade actually settled on-chain

Axiom doesn't run a public status page as of 2026. Check Axiom's official X account and Discord for outage announcements, and consider whether the issue might be Solana-wide congestion rather than Axiom-specific — the two can look identical from inside the app but require different fixes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Almost always slippage set too low for the pool's actual depth. Thin, freshly-launched pools need 10-20%+ slippage to fill at all; established tokens like SOL or JUP need only 1-3%. Network congestion and undersized priority fees are the other common causes — raise your priority fee or Jito tip on a fast-moving launch.

Axiom caps the number of active limit orders you can have open at once. If you hit an error placing a new one, check your open orders and cancel a stale one first.

Perps withdrawals route through Hyperliquid's bridge, typically arriving as USDC in about 5 minutes. That bridge has occasionally locked for extended periods during unusual market conditions — this is a Hyperliquid infrastructure issue outside Axiom's control, not an Axiom-specific bug.

Pump.fun pushed a breaking API change without notifying the trading bots built on top of it, including Axiom, which briefly broke selling for several hours. Users could only sell directly on Pump.fun's own site during that window. It's the clearest argument for exporting your seed phrase into a separate wallet you control.

Discord ticket only, through Axiom's official server. There is no official Axiom Telegram bot, and Axiom support will never message you first — treat any unsolicited DM claiming to be Axiom support as a phishing attempt.

Axiom does not publish a public status page as of 2026. Check Axiom's official X account and Discord server for outage announcements, and cross-reference with Solana network status generally, since a broad Solana congestion event can look identical to an Axiom-specific problem from inside the app.
